Indiana Rug Company (InRugCo) is a small family owned business that has been in business since 1985 in the Michiana area.

Our goal with our retail store, InRugCo Studio & Gift Shop, was to offer Mishawaka, Indiana a shopping destination unlike any other. We seek to highlight all the great things about living in Michiana and carry products that inspire people.

At our core, we are a textile fabrication studio that creates handmade area rugs, aprons, pillows, & other home accents. Within our store, you will find handpicked gifts & curated products to bring inspiration to your home & lifestyle.

We carry Mishawaka, IN themed clothing & gifts, outdoor clothing & gear, lifestyle clothing for men & women, gourmet food, spices, jewelry, purses, furniture, artwork, & much more.

Lola's Pastry Bread & Jam Bakery

Opened in March 2021 by InRugCo founder Pam Richardes, our bakery is so excited to bring our baked goods to the Michiana community!

We focus on all natural scratch baked goods with no preservatives.

Fresh pastries & bread are available all the time at InRugCo Studio & Gift Shop, we bake a rotating variety every week.

For three decades, we have created handmade custom area rugs.

We work closely with our clients to bring their design, color, size, or texture preference to life. Our clients can be totally immersed in the custom area rug process or our in-house designers can bring an idea to life with minial time commitment.

History of InRugCo

InRugCo was originally created so owners Pam & Rex Richardes could be with their children full time outside of school hours.

The business started out of a two stall car garage in River Park.

The children grew up as genuine "rugrats" within the business and continue to contribute to the company today. The second generation carries the same entrepreneurial and artistic spirit as their parents.

Indiana Rug Co. or InRugCo?

Indiana Rug Co. offers carpet binding services, while InRugCo Studio & Gift Shop is the name of our brick & mortar retail store.

We are the same company, but located at different locations. Both family owned & operated.

Our Connection to Mishawaka, Indiana & Michiana

We are located directly across the street from the newly renovated Central Park. Much of our original artwork on our Mishawaka themed clothing & gifts are directly inspired by our urban parks along the beautiful St. Joesph River.

Our goal with our Mishawaka merchandise is to raise community pride & awareness of our fantastic locations for outdoor recreation.

All 3 generations of the InRugCo have recreated along the St. Joseph River for years. Some of our favorite locations for a jog or a bike ride include Mishawaka's Riverwalk or the East Race near Howard Park in South Bend.

InRugCo is happy to support Edible Michiana. Free copies of the quarterly magazine regarding local Michiana food culture, events, and recipes can be found within our store.
