As we near Thanksgiving, we here at InRugCo have been reflecting on how fortunate we really are. We have received outstanding support from our local community all year.
Our customers do an amazing job supporting us in person at our Studio & Gift Shop, shopping at our online store, and sharing and liking our social media content. It is important that our customers realize how vital their support is and how much we truly appreciate it!
Amongst our many motivations, is our drive to continue to create art and add vibrancy to Mishawaka. In the spirit of giving thanks, today we are going to look at why InRugCo is so thankful to live in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Our Nature Parks
It's no secret being outside is mentally & physically beneficial to us. Whether a quick twenty minute walk or a two hour bicycle ride, Mishawaka's beautiful parks allow year round recreation.
The Mishawaka Parks Department oversees 26 parks and 6 facilities located throughout the City of Mishawaka! Amenities include pavilions, ball diamonds, splash pads, inclusive playground equipment, golf course, olympic-size pool, ice rink, an outdoor fitness court, meeting rooms, auditorium and more!
Our personal favorite (we are a little biased) is Central Park. Located directly across from our Studio & Gift Shop, Central Park is fantastic for nearly all outdoor recreation (jogging, bicycling, kayaking, fishing, etc.)
We love that the flowing & sparkly St. Joseph River drives through the heart of Central Park! The outdoor gym is also a fantastic addition to our park.
Beignets from Chicory Cafe
New Orlean's Style Chicory Cafe opened their second location in Downtown Mishawaka this summer and to say we are ecstatic about their arrival might be an understatement!
All their Big Easy inspired dishes are excellent, however, we are particularly fond of these featherly light Louisiana style donuts.
Outside of Beignets, their Cafe offers a full breakfast, lunch, & dinner menu. Make sure to try the Shrimp Po'Boy or the Muffaletta Sandwich with spicy mustard.
Flint Dance Studio
3rd generation InRugCo are avid dancers all thanks to Flint Dance Studio! Both dancers have been taking lessons since age 3. It has been incredibly fun to watch our dancers progress and improve each year.
Flint Dance Studio has been a staple in the Mishawaka community since 1960 and we are lucky to have them. Flint Dance Studio teaches ballet, urban contemporary, jazz, tap, & modern.
Tubing at Wilson Park
When the snowflakes fall and the temperature plummets, we layer up and play in the snow! Tubing at Wilson Park has been a winter tradition since I can remember.
We especially like to build tube trains. Notice the adherence to perfect form, even in flight! Haha.
Tubing not for you? Wilson Park is fantastic for nordic (cross-country) skiing. In the summertime, Wilson Park has a great frisbee golf course.
Those are just a few things we are thankful for regarding Mishawaka, Indiana. We could probably go on for hours though!
