On a brisk night, outlined against a blue-gray October sky, what better way to enjoy eachothers company than Halloween Pumpkin Carving?
With Michael Jackson's Thriller bumping in the background, the stage was set for a true carving rendezvous.
Pumpkin carving can be a messy job, but hey, someone has to do it!
Of course, you need the right tools for the trade. Everyone brought their own pumpkin carving tools...there was even a dremel spotted for intricate carving.
Some of the pumpkin carvers used stencils. Whether that is considered cheating was a hotly contested question. What's your stance on using stencils for carving?
After a vigorous two hours, the masterpieces were ready to be displayed.

I think stencils can be allowed, but it does make it easier to carve.
Our family always watches the It’s a Great Pumpkin by Charlie Brown for Halloween. It’s so cute!
